Julia Ann "Judy" Erwin Bryant, age 75, of Iva, SC, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. Born September 19, 1945, in Chester, SC, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Carroll Erwin and Mary Lou Simpson Erwin. Judy was a graduate of Crescent High School where she was inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019 for her achievements in basketball. She was retired from Mohawk Industries (formerly Rocky River Mills) after 46 years with the company. She enjoyed walking with her friends and attending events in which her son and grandchildren were involved. She loved hosting and entertaining family and friends at her home on the lake. Judy was a woman of great faith and a dedicated, life-long member of Good Hope Presbyterian Church where she held many offices and was named Presbyterian Woman of the Year. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Ronald M. Bryant; son, Ron Bryant (Mia); grandchildren, Martin Bryant (Caroline) and Berkley Bryant; brother, Jimmy Erwin (Karen); sister, Carolyn Sue McCoy (Errol); and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 15, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 16, 2021, at 11:00 am at Good Hope Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jan Culpepper officiating. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery.
