Annie Jewel Cobb, age 90, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at her home. Born in Lincoln, GA on June 3, 1925, she was the daughter of the late S.T. Evans and the late Ossie Jerden Evans. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her children, Emma Brown, Christine Rosa Shiflet, Jerry W. Cobb, Lewis Cobb, Maxine Moore, and Andrew Cobb; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Owen Cobb; her children, Robert David Cobb, twins, James Lane Cobb and Joyce Ann Cobb, twins, Olin Cobb and Nolin Cobb, and Jimmy Ray Cobb; and her brothers and sisters. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dwight Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Grove Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, October 4, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Hospice Care of South Carolina for the great care shown to Mrs. Cobb during her illness.
