JULIA J. CHASTAIN Julia Jeanette Chastain, age 85, a resident of Exalted Health and Rehab of Iva, formerly of 1408 Mitchell Street, passed away at AnMed Health Medical Center on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Born in Anderson on June 1, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Wade Chastain and the late Fannie Phillips Chastain. For many years, Julie was a bookkeeper at S H Kress Company. She was later employed at DePalma Drugs for approximately 30 years until her retirement. Julie was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She is survived by Brenda Smith (Keith), Barbara Bench, Craig Smith (Michele), Eric Smith (Jennifer), Cole Smith, Josh Bench, Jennifer Ricks (Wayne), and Austin, Brooklyn and Caitlyn Reese. A Graveside Service celebrating the life of Julia Chastain will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Keith Smith officiating. The family will be at the residence of Keith and Brenda Smith, 1403 Forest Lane, Anderson, SC 29621, and will receive friends following the Graveside Service at Forest Lawn.
