Julia was born in Anderson, South Carolina on July 19, 1950 and was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School, Stephens College, and the University of South Carolina. She was a women's clothier for thirty years, having been the owner of the Vogue Shops in Anderson, South Carolina and Cashiers, North Carolina. Survivors include her daughter, Caroline Chalmers Bladon and her husband, Patrick Bladon of Anderson; uncle, Harry Geisberg of Louisville, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Kathy Funston of San Fransisco, California; nephews, Robby and Blake Funston of San Fransisco, California; cousin, Dr. Harry Geisberg and his wife LaDonna Geisberg of Anderson and their children, Heather Pennington of Danville, Kentucky and Dr. Carrie Geisberg of Nashville, Tennessee. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Caroline Geisberg Funkenstein and her brother, Louis Funston and her aunt, Carol Geisberg. The Graveside Service will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, January 19, 2007 at Old Silverbrook Cemetery with Dr. Robert Kimmel officiating. The family will be at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Harry Geisberg, 14 Oleander Drive, Stonebridge at Rankin's Lake, Anderson.
