JULIA GAMBRELL February 15, 1935 - October 30, 2008STARR, SCMrs. Julia Ann Yeargin Gambrell, age 73, of 615 Hayes Road, wife of the late Fred Benson Gambrell, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Anderson County, SC on February 15, 1935, Mrs. Gambrell was a daughter of the late Jessie James Yeargin and Nellie Sue Yeargin. She retired from Ryobi Corporation with 18 years of service. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star and Flat Rock Baptist Church.Survivors include her son, Brian Gambrell and his wife, Michelle of Starr; daughter, Gayle Jones and her husband, Mark of Anderson; two grandchildren, Bryce Gambrell and Tracy Holloway; brother, Bob Yeargin of Starr and sisters, Ernestine Jones of Anderson and Mildred King of Starr; niece Jimmie Hill and special friend Barbara Wilson.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one brother and three sisters.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Ed Hunsinger. Interment will follow in South Lawn Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 31, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of her son, Brian Gambrell, 300 Miriam Road, Starr, SC.Flowers are optional.
