She was a devoted homemaker and loving mother. Mrs. Phillips was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.Survivors include her mother, Claudia Prevost Harden, of Anderson, SC; husband, Ben Richard Phillips, of the home; son, Ben Richard Phillips Jr, of Anderson, SC; daughter-in-law, Hanna Rebecca Phillips-Schacht of Anderson, SC; brother-in-law, Dean Phillips and wife, Joanne; sister-in-law, Margaret Phillips; nephew, Tom Phillips III; niece, Laurie Phillips Sanders; nephew, John David Phillips; first cousin: Jack & Marshall Krakeel, and their children: CJ & Scootie; first cousin, Susie Turner, and her children: Sloan Turner & Chas Turner; aunt, Harriet Haynesworth; first cousin, William 'Bill' Haynesworth; cousins: Charles Haynesworth III, Harriet Haynesworth Beal, Charles & Burtha Fisher, Bill & Judy Bright, and Marsha Johnson; uncle, Marshall Johnson; and aunt, Antho Phillips. Mrs. Phillips was predeceased by her father, James Leroy Harden; son, Bryon Harden Phillips; and grandparents: Charles Cecil & Sue Sloan Crawford Prevost, and Samuel Gladney & Effie Lee Kilpatrick Harden.A Memorial Service will be held at 10am on Friday, October 28, 2011, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by Dr. Dennis R. Tedder. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
