Julia Grace Adams Sutherland, 94, of Belton, SC passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at National Health Care - Anderson.

Born September 27, 1930, in Anderson County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Jess Adams and the late Eva Ricketts Adams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" T. Sutherland; sons, Tony Lamar Sutherland, Douglas Sutherland, and Duane Sutherland; and five siblings. She leaves behind her son, Steve Sutherland and his wife Wanda; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and fourteen great-great grandchildren.

Grace loved gospel music and sang wonderful old hymns while rocking the babies; an activity she treasured. She loved cooking, especially vegetables and nothing compared to her magically created creamed corn. Gardening was a favorite pastime, and beautiful flowers grew in abundance. Grace loved her church, family and friends and will be missed by many. Grace loved the special nurses that became family and made NHC feel like her home for the past 6 years. A special thank you to the staff and nurses for taking such great care of Grace.

A private graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will host a visitation Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 12 noon until 1:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.

The family will be at their respective residences.
