Julie Charnley Hunt, age 70, of Salem, SC, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Cottingham Hospice House. Born May 28, 1952, in Westerly, RI, she was the daughter of the late Edward Newman Charnley and Janice Marie Gardiner Gavigan. She was the devoted wife of Daniel Burlin Hunt until his death in 2016. Julie received her Bachelor of Science from Clemson University and her Master of Science in Education from Converse College. She was an educator for many years. She was an avid animal lover. She also enjoyed hiking, traveling and watching Clemson football. Julie was a loving mother to her daughter, Noelle K. Hunt, and a faithful friend to many. A gathering of family and friends to honor Julie will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 1:00-3:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.
