June Murphy Brown, age 84, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC on May 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late George T. Murphy and the late Margie Lowe Murphy. She retired from Belton Corporation and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Randal T. Brown and his wife Shirley, of Anderson, SC, Paula Elgin and her husband Bruce, of Anderson, SC and Marshall D. Brown and his wife Mary, of Belton, SC; a brother, Joe Murphy, of Belton, SC; a sister, Linda Murphy, of Anderson, SC; 7 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a dear friend, Raye Lawing, of Anderson, SC. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Brown; one brother; one sister; and a grandson. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. with Reverend Carroll Plemmons and Reverend Tim Edmonds officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
