SMITHFebruary 19, 1932 - December 15, 2006ANDERSON, SCFLAGMr. Junior Lee Smith, age 74, of 512 Bowen Street, Anderson, SC, died Friday at the Nancy Hart Nursing Home.Born in San Jose, CA, Mr. Smith was a son of the late Elmer Smith and Margaret Elizabeth Sands Smith. He was retired from the Community Cash Produce in Spartanburg, SC after 27 years of service. He was a Lay Minister and also a member of the Concord Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.Survivors include his wife, Barbara Snider Hooper Smith; son, Michael B. Smith of Greenville, SC and step-son Harry A. Hooper of Anderson, SC; daughter, Patsy Lee Harvey of Spartanburg and step-daughter Janet H. Hunsinger of Starr, SC; brothers, Jerry Smith of Orville, CA and John Smith of San Jose, CA; sisters, Dorothy Hartman of Orville, CA and Marge DeLaVage of Eureka, CA. A granddaughter, Kelly Winters of FL and several step-grandchildren also survive.The Graveside Service will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Spartanburg, SC, on Monday at 3:30 pm officiated by Dr. Don Cox.The family will receive friends on Monday, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.The family will be at the home.Memorials are to be made to Nancy Hart Nursing Home or to Concord Baptist Church.THE MCDOUGALD FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the arrangements.
