Esmacher, age 53, went to be with her Lord on October 3, 2007 after courageously fighting her illness for nine years. Karen was the loving Mother of two daughters, Sarah J. Steel of Falls Church, VA and Angela J. Steel of Winchester, VA; one son, Joshua E. Walsh of Phoenix, AZ. She is survived by three grandchildren and her parents, Harry and Jeuel Esmacher of Anderson, SC. She was predeceased by a brother, Stephen A.
