Katherine G. Dukes, 83, of Anderson, SC passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Rainey Hospice House. Born April 23, 1935 in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth Chastain Gilbert. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Darlana Dukes; brother, Ed Gilbert and sister, Genelia Gilbert. She and her husband of 66 years, Joe R. Dukes, owned Little Pigs BBQ for 48 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Kathy D. Gibson (Randie), Danny Dukes and Mike Dukes; brothers, Raymond and Wallace Gilbert; four grandsons, Matthew, Jared, Dylan and Dalton and three great-grandsons. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm Sunday, January 20, 2019 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3:30pm with Rev. Curtis Bundy ad Rev. Dr. Ronald Moore officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
