Following her employment with Chase Manhattan Bank, Katherine served her country by joining the United States Marine Corps in 1952 as a Staff Sergeant. Traveling the world during their retirement years, she and her husband moved to Anderson, SC to make their new home. While here, they developed many lasting friendships. Survivors include her two loving nieces and two wonderful caregivers, Mary Lombardo and Virginia Galloway of Anderson, SC, who made Katherine a special part of their families. She was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Brock.The burial of her ashes will be held in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA at a later date.
