McKINNEYSEPTEMBER 6, 1919 - DeceMBER 29, 2008ANDERSON, SC ' Kathleen Hardy McKinney, age 89, widow of the late Joseph Aaron McKinney passed away on Monday, December 29, 2008, at her home.Born in Anderson, SC on September 6, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd E. Hardy and Ora Gurley Hardy. She was a seamstress, homemaker, and a member of Toxaway United Methodist Church.Survivors include her children: Margaret Sue Roach of Walhalla, Sara Elizabeth Barnes of Anderson, Aaron Rudolph McKinney of Anderson, and Ken McKinney of Anderson; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-seven great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Dr. Ron McKinney; an infant son, Robert McKinney; a granddaughter, Rachel Ann Roach; a brother, Kinard Hardy; and three sisters: Elizabeth Hawkins, Miriam Duckworth, and Barbara Standridge. The Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, January 1, 2009, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Dr. Victor T. Rampey.
