KATHLEEN SHIRLEY RAGSDALE June 10, 1923 - November 12, 2012 HONEA PATH, SC Kathleen Shirley Ragsdale, age 89, of 1102 Branyon Road, Honea Path, SC, passed away at Self Regional Medical Center on Monday, November 12, 2012. Born in Anderson County, SC she was a daughter of the late J. Aaron Shirley and the late Winnie Ashley Shirley. She attended Erskine College. She retired as a supervisor in Food Service for The Abbeville County School District. She was a member of Due West ARP Church and the Women's Missionary Circle. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Ragsdale Hagan of Due West, SC and Shirley Ragsdale Adams of Abbeville, SC; three grandchildren, Patrick Evans Davenport, David Alan Davenport and James Edward Hagan; eight great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Floyd Evans Ragsdale; a granddaughter, Jean Hagan Ware; two brothers, James Ray Shirley and William Bruce Shirley; two sisters, Betty Shirley McClain and Ruth Shirley Fields. The Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Calvin Draffin officiating. Interment will follow at Barker's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Honea Path, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm at the funeral home. The family will be at the residence.
