Kathryn W. Karpik August 23, 1926 - June 19, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Mary Kathryn Wood Karpik, age 85, wife of Richard Henry Karpik, of 226 Green Teal Lane, Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Russell Dewey Wood and the late Etta Cooley Wood. She attended Furman University. Kathryn was the President of AnMed Credit Union where she worked for over 20 years. She also volunteered as a Pink Lady at AnMed for 10 years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anderson, where she was active for many years in the church choir. In addition to her loving husband of 67 years, she is survived by her son, Dr. William Richard Karpik of Anderson. She is preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Chris Karpik; and brothers, C.R. Wood and Marion Wood. The Graveside service to honor the life of Mrs. Karpik will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 11:00am at Old Stone Church in Clemson.
