Anderson, SC Kathleen Brooke Patterson, age 29, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center, being surrounded by her family. Born in Gastonia, NC on March 13, 1984, Katie was the daughter of Gayle Brooks of Greenville, SC and Ike Patterson, III and his wife Debra of Winston-Salem, NC. She was a graduate of Greenville High School, Class of 2002 and had attended Clemson University. She had been employed with The Uptown Lounge in Anderson, SC. As she is remembered, Katie is known for her sweet, innocent, but determined personality; her beautiful smile; being a loyal friend to many; a loving mother to her 5 year old son and one loved deeply by her family. In addition to her parents, Katie is survived by her son, Brady Cox and his father, Barrett Cox; her brother, Will Patterson of Greenville, SC; step-brother, Jonathan Robbins of Kernersville, NC; step-sisters, Summer Albergotti of Simpsonville, SC and Leah Hayes of Pickens, SC; her boyfriend, Derrick Ashworth; and her maternal grandparents, Jerry and Helen Brooks. Katie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ike and Kathleen Patterson. A Memorial Service to celebrate Katie's life will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Rev. Jonathan Robbins and Rev.
