YEARGIN March 15, 1919 - May 14, 2008ANDERSON, SCMrs. Katie Evans Yeargin, age 89, formerly of 3406 Wilmont Street, wife of the late John Paul Yeargin, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Willow Creek Living Center in Iva, SC.Born in Anderson, SC on March 15, 1919, Mrs. Yeargin was a daughter of the late Reverend David Andrew Evans and Josie Fortner Evans. She retired from Gallant-Belk Department Store and was a member of Marshall Memorial United Methodist Church in Anderson.Survivors include her daughter, Anne Yeargin Roberts of Anderson; two grandchildren, Paula R. Gilreath and her husband, Lee of Anderson and Robin R. Blackston and her husband, Russell of Belton, SC; great-grandchildren, Weston and Harper Gilreath & Will and Alex Blackston.In addition to her parents and husband, ten siblings preceded her in death.A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 3:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, conducted by the Reverend Faye Stephens.The family will be at the home of Russell and Robin Blackston, 125 Blair Road, Belton, SC.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marshall Memorial United Methodist Church, 135 Riley Street, Anderson, SC 29624 or Willow Creek Living Center 406 E.
