Norma "Kay" Alexander Gray, of Anderson, SC, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

Kay was born December 13, 1940, in New Orleans, LA. Kay graduated from Fortier High School and attended Mississippi College. She married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Gray on June 24, 1960, and they were married for almost 63 years until his passing in 2023. She had several careers during her life but teaching and helping students was her calling. She taught or assisted in the math department of Robertsville Jr. High School in Oak Ridge, TN, and also taught Kindergarten at Edwards Road Baptist Church in Greenville, SC.

Kay's passion was camping in the Airstream with her husband. She also liked tinkering in the flower garden and listening to gospel music. She had a love for the Lord and lived out her Christian faith. She always had a smile on her face and often showed off her sassy side. She had a heart for senior citizens and taught Sunday School for many years.

Kay is survived by her daughter, Toy Gray Crumpton and son-in-law Chris Crumpton, daughter, Courtney Gray O'Leary and son-in-law Ronnie O'Leary; grandson, Robert Rigsbee and granddaughter, Kenzie Rigsbee; and sister, Jean Alexander McCord.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob and her parents Kermit and Norma Alexander.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Gamble officiating. Mrs. Gray's final resting place will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
