Kay Frances Herring, age 72, of 109 Bentz Road, Piedmont, went to her Heavenly Home on Thursday, May 12, 2016, upon her death at Rainey Hospice House. Born on May 22, 1943, she was the daughter of the late O. A. Herring and the late Edna Burnette Herring. She was associated with the Anderson County Disability and Special Needs Program. Kay was a member of Orrville Baptist Church. Kay is survived by six nephews, Marty Herring, Stanley Herring, Rudy Herring, Terry Jones, Scott Jones and Paul Herring; and two nieces, Donna McAlister and Karen Quick. In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by brothers, Donald Herring, Keith Herring and a sister, Bobbi Jones. The funeral service to celebrate the life of Kay Herring will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Mr. Phillip McAlister officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery.
