Kayleb Fletcher McMahan, age 3, went to his Heavenly home to be with Jesus and the angels on Friday, May 12, 2017, upon his death at AnMed Health Medical Center. Though his journey on this earth was far too brief, he touched the lives and hearts of many, filling everyone he met with love and joy. His outgoing enthusiasm for life was infectious. Kayleb lived at home with his family at 511 Agnew Road in Starr, SC. Born on January 9, 2014, he was the son of Jonathan Lee McMahan and Krystal Leigh Plumley McMahan of the home. Kayleb leaves behind a sister, Kaydence Pearl McMahan and a brother, Wyatt Knoxx McMahan, both of the home. Kayleb and his family attended River of Life Church of God. In addition to his parents and his brother and sister, Kayleb leaves behind paternal grandparents, Teresa Ray McMahan and Kenneth Lee McMahan of Garden City, SC; and maternal grandparents, Stoney Shawn Plumley and Tammy Burgess Plumley of Anderson, maternal great grandmothers, Jane O. Burgess, Janice P. Swaney and Dee Dee Lynch; paternal great-grandmother, Jeanette Ray; uncles, Wesley, Kevin, Dakota, Tabor and Cole; aunts Britney, Kristy, and Ashley; also surviving are seven cousins. Kayleb will be deeply missed by his family who loved and cherished him so much. Kayleb was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Nancy Melinda Booth; maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Free Booth; maternal grandfather, Rufus Lee Beusse; great aunt, Kim Beusse Bolding; paternal great-grandmother, Jane Boyd McMahan; paternal great-grandfathers, John Elzie McMahan and Max Dean Ray. The funeral service to celebrate the precious life of Kayleb McMahan will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at 2 p.m. at River of Life Church of God, with Rev. Kevin Jones and Rev. Dale Dyar officiating. Kayleb will be placed in the sanctuary at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at the Iva City Cemetery. The family will be at the home of grandmother, Tammy Plumley, 1431 Whitehall Road, and will receive friends at the McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Contributions in memory of little Kayleb may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W.
