He was a 1983 graduate of Westside High School and was a former employee of Frigidaire Company in Anderson. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Starr.In addition to his mother of Anderson, he is survived by a daughter, Lauren M. Ray and her husband, Matt Ray; son, Dillon Murphy, all of Anderson; brothers, Randy Murphy of Madeira Beach, FL and Clay Murphy of Anderson; sister, Debbie Ricker of Anderson and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Ray.A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at 4:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park officiated by the Reverend Lloyd Robison.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 pm.The family will be at their respective homes.Flowers are optional.
