KEN ADAMS March 30, 1940 - December 17, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Kenneth Lawton Adams, age 72, of 403 Rosewood Drive, Anderson, Baptist Village Apartments, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012, at his residence. Born in Seneca, SC he was the son of the late Samuel Lawton Adams and the late Thadious Broome Adams. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for many years at Gainey Transportation. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church. He is survived by his children, Kenneth Lawton Adams, Jr, of Augusta, SC, Danny Ray Adams, of Williamston, SC, Deborah Lynn Freese and Susan Marie Kelley, both of Sylvania, GA; brothers, Dennis A. Adams, of Greenville, SC and Billy Joe Adams of Lavonia, GA; a sister, Betty Jean Burgess, of Anderson, SC; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lelia Beth Adams; and an infant brother, Jimmy Ray Adams. The Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dwight Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
