Kenneth R. Brown Starr, SC Kenneth Russell Brown, age 65, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Jacksonville, FL, he was the son of the late Jesse and Edith Taylor Brown. He proudly served his country in the United State Navy. He worked as an Instrumentation Specialist at GE for many years. Kenneth was a faithful member and usher of Gethsemane Baptist Temple. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Thornton Brown; two daughters, Dawn Noble and her husband Brian, of Gray Court, and Stacey Brooks and her husband David, of Greenville; two sons, Robert Cobb and his wife Amanda, of Madison, GA and Christopher Cobb and his girlfriend, Anna Kate, of Anderson; brothers, Vernon Brown, of Old Fort, NC and Donald Brown, of Easley, SC; sisters, Maxine Metcalf, of Old Fort, NC, Susan King, of Walhalla, SC and Carol Matthews of Woodstock, GA; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Looper; brothers, Calvin, Joe and David Brown; and by sisters, Faye Davis and Virginia Hensley. The Funeral Service will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Temple on Thursday, October 23, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
