Kenneth Buchanan Anderson, SC Paul Kenneth Buchanan, age 78, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Paul R. Buchanan and the late Hazel Winchester Buchanan. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of Boy's High, while in high school; he played varsity football, where his team was named State Champions in 1951. Kenneth owned and operated Buck's Finance for many years. He was a devoted member and Deacon of Orrville Baptist Church where he taught all age Sunday School Class for 31 years. Kenneth was also a very devoted member of IPTAY. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Black Buchanan; two grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell, of Pendleton, SC and Matthew Campbell, of Anderson, SC; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Buchanan; and his daughter, Sonja Campbell. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Dr. Wendell Bannister officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Orrville Baptist Church, 2620 South Main Street, Anderson, SC 29624 or to Haven of Rest Ministries, PO Box 466, Anderson, SC 29622.
