Kenneth Jerry Garland, age 81, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC on September 7, 1935, he was the son of the late Edna Taylor Garland. He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas after 35 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Marie Garland; a son, Dean Garland and his fianc, Ann Garrett, of Anderson, SC; a daughter, Diane Hamm, of Starr, SC; four grandchildren, Rusty Garland (Eleisha), Scott Garland (Miranda) , Dawn Poole (Michael), and Duane Hamm; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016, at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Stan Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery.
