LANIERMAY 22, 1942 - SeptEMBER 2, 2010ANDERSON, SC ' Kenneth Gary Lanier, age 68, of 132 Strawberry Road, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at his home.Born in the Slabtown Community of Anderson County, he was a son of the late Cecil Lanier and Eva Swaney Lanier. He was a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Lanier retired after forty years as a self-employed Paint & Wall Paper Contractor. He was a member of Homeland Park Church of God.Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Thrasher Lanier, of Anderson; a daughter, Jaime Lanier Chambers and husband, Matt Chambers of Anderson; two grandchildren: Caley & Abby Chambers; sister, Betty Bearden; brothers: Curtis Lanier, Harold Lanier, and Ralph Lanier.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers: Grady Lanier & Raymond Lanier.The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 5, 2010, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Vernon Soles and the Reverend Ralph Ashley.
