Kenneth Garnett Mercer, age 87, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at his home.

Born August 10, 1938, in Anderson County, SC, he was the son of the late John Thomas Mercer and Idell Lunsford Mercer.

Kenneth was retired from BASF. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, working in his yard and tending his garden. He also enjoyed auto racing. He loved his wife Betty and together they built a wonderful life full of treasured memories.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Treadwell Mercer; and many other family and friends.

A private family service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Agape Hospice.
