IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Clayton
Meredith, Jr.
July 10, 1967 – February 21, 2024
Kenneth Clayton Meredith, Jr., 56, of Anderson, SC, passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Upstate on February 21, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born in Anderson on July 10, 1967, to parents Kenneth Clayton Meredith, Sr. and Nobie Elizabeth Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his brothers Brian Keith Meredith (Debbie) and Robby Paul Meredith (Tiffany), aunts Geri Kirkley, Ann Brown, Faye Hall, and Kathy Rumsey; uncle Doug Rumsey, many cousins and a niece and nephews. Kenneth also had a special and close bond with his cousins Amanda Dunn Martin (Kevin) and Jennifer Dunn McDonald (Tim).
Kenneth enjoyed serving others, whether volunteering at local ministries, helping out with household projects, or providing a timely neck or foot massage. Friends and family were vitally important to him, and he made sure to stay in touch to share his thoughts and feelings almost every day. He overcame many hardships during his life yet impressively remained hopeful and happy. Kenneth had a particular love for the beach, British comedies and a huge Great Dane named Chase. He also enjoyed cooking and was always willing to make meals for the family. You could not find a more devoted brother, cousin, nephew, and friend. The world will be a little less interesting without Kenneth's radiant smile, Joan Rivers impersonations, infectious laugh, and endless funny stories.
The family would like to thank the nurses at AnMed and the staff at Hospice of the Upstate for the kind and loving care they provided. Donations to PFLAG Anderson in Kenneth's honor (PO Box 405, Pelzer, SC) would be greatly appreciated.
