The McDougald Funeral Home2211 North Main StreetAnderson, SC 29621864-224-4343OBITUARY KENNETH NEAL May 1, 1941 - November 13, 2009 WILLIAMSTON, SCKenneth Maurice 'Ken' Neal, age 68, husband of Judy Merrill Neal of Williamston, died Friday, November 13, 2009 at his residence.Born in Waynesville, NC on May 1, 1941, Mr. Neal was the son of the late A. F. 'Shorty' Neal and Dicie Alice Grogan Neal. He was a 1958 graduate of Bethel High School in Canton, NC and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and also served in the United States Navy and Army Reserves. Mr. Neal was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife of the home; son, Jason Neal of Sandy Springs; daughters, Teresa Chapman and her husband, David of Sandy Springs and Julie Rholetter and her husband, Howard 'Jerry' of Greenville; brother, Mike Neal of Stockbridge, GA; sister; Priscilla Swayngim of Anderson; three grandchildren, Jessie Chapman, Derek Borders and Katie Borders; two great-grandchildren, Victor Chapman and Andrew Borders; mother of his children, Joan Neal of Sandy Springs and a special cousin, Jan Coriarty.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Friendship Baptist Church officiated by the Reverend Chad Hastings. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Mr. Neal will be placed in the church at 1:30 pm on Sunday.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
