April 21, 1941 - January 12, 2013 Kenneth "Goat" Worley, Sr., age 71, of 1036 Williams Street, Pendleton, passed away at his residence on Saturday, January 12, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of Mildred Mae Franks Worley of Seneca, and the late Marvin Lee Worley who died in 1994. For 42 years, he was the devoted husband of Patsy Spivey Worley of the home. Mr. Worley proudly served his country by spending a 20 year career in the US Army, where he served 2 tours of duty in Viet Nam. After retirement from the Army, Mr. Worley traveled extensively with his wife as a long haul truck driver for a period of 12 years. He later worked for the Halliburton Company in Oklahoma. Kenneth was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his mother, Mildred and his wife, Patsy, Kenneth is survived by 2 sons, Kevin Ray Worley and his wife, Donna, of Lakeland, FL, and Kenneth E. Worley, Jr. of the residence; a daughter, Deborah Lynn Keely and husband, Donald, of Duncan, OK; a brother, Clinton "Speedo" Worley and his wife, Dottie, of Iva; a sister, Dorothy Holbrooks of Seneca; 6 grandchildren, Aaron and David Keely, Kent and Kyle Worley and Caitlin and Kennan Worley. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at 11 AM, at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Blizzard officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veteran's Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, from 6 PM until 8 PM.
