'BUD' ADDIS August 17, 1929 - January 3, 2006ANDERSON, SCMr. Lewis William 'Bud' Addis, age 76, of 1032 Bleckley Street, Anderson, SC, husband of the late Helen Shaw Addis, died Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Anderson, SC on August 17, 1929, Mr. Addis was a son of the late Henry Addis and Beulah Pruitt Addis. He was the former owner and operator of Bud's Place in Anderson. He was a United States Army Korean War veteran. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Anderson Westside Church of God of Prophecy.He is survived by sons, Lewis W. Addis, Jr., of Columbia, SC and Henry S. 'Buddy' Addis of Spartanburg, SC; a daughter, Sylvia Davis of Fort Walton Beach, FL; a step-daughter, Gail Davis of Anderson, SC; a sister, Lottie A. Ramsey of Anderson, SC; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A long time companion and friend, Elizabeth Thro also survives him.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Cathy Shaw, a brother, Jay Addis, sister, Bertha Lee Collins and twin sister Lois Addis.A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home by Pastor Joel Mayfield and Pastor Luther L. Cooke.
