Kimberly Caroline Owens Pope, age 50, of 600 Martin Road, Starr, SC, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017, at AnMed Health Medical Center with her family by her side. Born on December 3, 1966, she was the daughter of John L. Minor of Seneca and the late Beatrice Standard Minor. She was a graduate of Belton-Honea Path High School. In addition to her father, she leaves behind her devoted husband, Roland B. Pope of the home; two sons, Arthur J. Owens (Megan) of Anderson and Justin T. Minor (Stephanie) of Williamston, SC; a daughter, Sierra C. Pope of Starr; four brothers, Craig Minor (Anna) of Liberty, Chris Minor (Cindy) of Belton, John Minor of Anderson and Shannon Minor also of Anderson; two sisters, Jackie Z. Durbin of Anderson and Felicia Minor of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; also surviving are four grandchildren. In addition to her mother, Kimberly was preceded in death by a son, John Roland Pope, and a brother-in-law, Steve Durbin. The funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Kimberly Pope will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Pope and Matthew Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, Belton.
