King David Sanders, age 100, husband of the late Lucy Mae Pierce Sanders, formerly of 303 Hill Street, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at National Health Care in Anderson, SC.Born in Hartwell, GA, on September 7, 1907, he was the son of the late Haley Denard Sanders and the late Nollie Stovall Sanders. He retired from Wellington Mill at the age of 65 and went to work for Anderson Auto Parts, where he worked until the age of 92. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church.In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.He is survived by his daughters, Virginia S. Rainey and son-in-law Theron and Wilma Ann S. Burden and son-in-law Calvin all of Anderson; three grandchildren, Rickey Rainey, Sheron Wallace and Pamela Burden Smith, six great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.The Funeral Service will be Friday, June13, 2008, at 3:30 PM, at The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Phil McAlister officiating.
