Kristy Yarbrough Cheek, age 51, of Anderson, SC, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021, at her residence. Born August 12, 1969, in Anderson, SC, she is the daughter of Janis Turner Yarbrough and the late William Edward Yarbrough, Jr. Kristy was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School, Class of 1987, and formally worked as a registered nurse and flight attendant for U.S. Airlines. In addition to her mother, Janis, she is survived by her sister, Cherry Owens, and her husband Eric; and nephews and nieces, Chase, Austin, Chandler, and Abby. The family would like to thank the following caregivers for the exceptional level of care and love provided to Kristy: Carrie Howard, Brittany Robinson, Kim Blackwell, Rozella Jones, and Pam Moranchel. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Margaret M. Turner. Family and friends may pay their respects and sign the Guest Register on Monday, April 12, 2021, from Noon until 5:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Thomas Lovell and Rev. Tom Owen officiating.
