JOE CROOK December 29, 1926 - September 1, 2005ANDERSON, SCMr. Kyle Joe Crook, age 78, husband of Hazel Thomason Crook of 515 Azalea Drive, Anderson, SC, died Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson, SC.Born in Hart County, GA, he was a son of the late A.O. Crook and Eva Chimera Crook. He was retired from Glen Raven Mill with more than 40 years of service. He was a United States Army World War II veteran and a member of Landmark Free Will Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Hazel Thomason Crook of the home; step-son, Jay Hardy; two step-daughters, Barbara Kelly and Janice Case, all of Anderson, SC; one brother, Jack Crook of Iva, SC; two sisters, Merle Lewis and Carol Walls, both of Anderson, SC; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank Crook, Dennis Crook, C. J. Crook and Owen Crook and four sisters, Gladys Ethridge, Lucille Gaddis, Vernelle Hayes and Lillian Johnson.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2005 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home by the Reverend Danny Keen. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Military Honors by Campbell Patriots Post #184.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 3, 2005 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.The family will be at the residence.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richard M.
