IRENE CHIPPSMAY 17, 1915 - May 1, 2010 ANDERSON, SC ' Lenore Irene Chipps, age 94, wife of the late John Herbert Chipps, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2010. Born in Gassaway, West VA, on May 17, 1915, she was a daughter of the late James Wilson and Maggie Ward Wilson. She was a homemaker and a member of North Anderson Baptist Church. Survivors include her children: John Herbert Chipps, Jr. and wife, Beulah Mae of Anderson, Martha J. Ross of Conneaut, OH, Peggy L. Dye of Anderson, and Susan Watson and husband, Patrick of Anderson; brother, Bill Wilson of Vineland, NJ; thirteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Bill Rigsby. Interment will follow in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. The family is at the home, 316 Bridgeview Drive, and will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
