LaDEMA SATTERFIELD November 7, 1928 - August 24, 2012 Mrs. LaDema Webster Satterfield, age 83, of 1214 Bolt Drive, went to her Heavenly home with the Lord on Friday, August 24, 2012, at National Health Care of Anderson. Born in Commerce, GA, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Vernon O. Webster, and the late Patie Sigers Webster. She was the devoted wife of Paul W. Satterfield of the residence to whom she was married for over 53 years. Mrs. Satterfield had a degree in Interior Design from the New York School of Interior Design. Prior to children coming into her life, she practiced as an Interior Designer. Mrs. Satterfield was an accomplished seamstress, and was a prolific writer of poems and songs. She was in the process of writing a book about clothing fashion. For over 25 years Mrs. Satterfield was a faithful member of Oakwood Baptist Church. In addition to her cherished husband, Paul, she is survived by a son, Paul Mark Satterfield of Anderson; a daughter, Marsha S. Horton and her husband, Edward, of Anderson; a brother, Troy Lee Webster and his wife, Carolyn of Spartanburg; also surviving are 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Satterfield was preceded in death by brothers Bradford, Daniel and Edgar Webster, and a sister, Ila Baxley. A Funeral Service celebrating the life of Mrs. Satterfield will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2012, at 3 PM, at the Oakwood Baptist Church, with Rev. Jeff Bartlett and Mr. Jim Roberts officiating. The family will be at the residence of Marsha and Edward Horton, 1301 Wendover Way, Anderson. They will receive friends at Oakwood Baptist Church on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM prior to the service. Interment will be on Monday, August 27, 2012, at 2 PM at the M. J. "Dolly" Cooper Veteran's Cemetery, with Rev. Jeff Davis officiating.
