Lamar Edwin Shealy, 90, of Anderson, SC passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born May 29, 1928 in Saluda County, SC, he was a son of the late Chester Shealy and Viola Snelgrove Shealy. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Stansell Shealy, four brothers and three sisters. He retired as manager from Owens Corning Fiberglas after 35 years. He attended Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church. Lamar is survived by his sons, Bruce Shealy of Greer, SC and Steve Shealy of Easley, SC; brother, Garlyn Shealy; sisters, Leta Grice, Juanita Harmon, Evetta Gleaton and Olivia Kirkland; two grandchildren, Nancy Shealy and Lindsey Shealy. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am-12:30 pm Saturday, June 2, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1:00 pm with Rev. Ray Massey and Rev. Brent Lollis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Mr. Harry Osborne officiating.
