She was a graduate of Townville High School, Class of 1945, and a member of Pope Drive Baptist Church where she served in the Children's Department. Mrs. Wicker managed and worked at Joyce Anne Style Shop for many years.Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Nash Wicker, of the home; a sister, Mrs. DeVerle H. Chapman and her husband John G. 'Jack' Chapman of Atlanta, GA; and a nephew, Steven Chapman of Atlanta, GA.The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 2:00 pm in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Mack Tester officiating. Entombment will follow the service in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 16, 2010 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.It is suggested that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Pope Drive Baptist Church, 2510 Pope Drive, Anderson, SC 29625-3099. The family would respectfully like to thank Mrs. Wicker's personal aide, Nancy Burriss, for her loving care and support for so many months during her illness. The family would also like to thank all the employees at Brookside Nursing facility for the special care given to Mrs. Wicker.
