Lana Simpson Willis, age 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, at North Pointe Assisted Living.

Born August 9, 1945, in Abbeville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Garol Simpson and Willie Dye Simpson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T. Willis, Sr., and a son-in-law, Eric Miles.

She was a founding member of Parkwood Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years and was a retired nurse, having worked for the State of SC. Lana's life centered around her husband of 55 years and her family was truly her biggest joy. She loved to garden and tend to her flowers in her spare time.

She is survived by a daughter, Kris Miles of Belton, SC; a son, Tommy Willis (April) of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Mackenzie Miles of Belton, SC, Jared Willis (Caroline) of Columbia, SC, Jessica Black (Drake) of Anderson, SC and Hannah Cerino (Ryan) of Johns Creek, GA; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 11:00 – 11:45 am at The McDougald Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 12:00 at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Crittendon officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkwood Baptist Church, 3903 Dixon Road, Anderson, SC.
