Buster McCullough, age 65, of Elberton, GA, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born April 20, 1956, in Griffin, GA, he was the son of the late Lane Watson McCullough, Sr. and Mary Jones McCullough. Buster was a graduate of Crescent High School Class of 1974. He owned and operated McCullough Clearing for many years. He was a man of faith who loved his family and friends. Buster was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Renee York McCullough; children, Brandon McCullough (Lori), Hannah Thompson (Barry), Clint McCullough, and Jessie McCullough; sister, Mary Jane Hendrickson (Dan); brother-in-law, Steve York (Erica); and grandchildren, Reece, Leila, Charleigh, Lane, and Elliot. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Leonard Jones McCullough. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Sunday, February 13, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Mike D'Avanzo and Rev. Phil Keown officiating. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery.
