MARVIN CHITWOOD 'PAPA CHIP' May 4, 1937 - December 20, 2005ANDERSON, SCMr. Larley Marvin Chitwood, II, age 68, of 207 Lot 5, Old Greenpond Road, Anderson, SC, and husband of the late Eunice Virginia Smith Chitwood died Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at his residence.Born in Anderson County, SC, he was a son of the late Larley Marvin Chitwood, Sr., and Sara Alice Duncan Chitwood. He was retired from Culp Woven Velvets and was previously employed by Ellis Bicycle Shop. He was a member of Burdine Road Church of God.Survivors include sons, Ken Chitwood of Anderson, SC, Bud Chitwood and his wife Sharon of Iva, SC and Joey Chitwood and his wife Maranda of Anderson, SC; a daughter, Alice Chitwood Lawrence of Belton, SC; brothers, Ervin Chitwood of Belton and Leroy Chitwood of Texas; sisters, Opal Thomas and Mary Duncan, both of Anderson, SC; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2005 at 3:00 pm at Burdine Road Church of God officiated by the Reverends Curtis Lanier and Philip Sears.
