Larry Arnold Cohen, age 69, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Thelma Sandlin Hanks and Robert Lee Hanks. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. Larry retired from BASF after more than 35 years of service. He was active with many outdoor activities and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of West Anderson Church of God. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Paddie Cohen; his son, Shawn Cohen, of Anderson, SC; a daughter, Amanda Cutolo and her husband Geno, of Mooresville, NC; a brother, Lynn Cohen and his wife Virginia, of Anderson, SC; a step-brother, Robert Hanks, Jr. and his wife Cindy, of Anderson, SC; and five grandchildren, Brady Cohen, Logan Smith, and Taylor, Geno III and Gabriel Cutolo. The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend John Daniel officiating. Interment will follow at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
