Larry Ellis Davis, 74, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Rainey Hospice House. Born April 13, 1945, in Piedmont, SC, he was a son of the late Boyd W. Davis and Nellie Pearl Winstead Davis. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Davis. Larry was a proud veteran having served 4 years in the United States Air Force. He was an engineer for Norfolk Southern Railroad retiring after 30 years and served his community as a State Constable. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing, talking to friends on his CB radio and keeping up with local law enforcement activity on his police monitors. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sara Joanne Vickery Davis; daughters, Alisa Diane Davis and Kelly Elaine Nichols (William); grandsons, Tristan Alexander Nichols and Jaxon Thomas Nichols; and brother, Ray Davis. A funeral service with military honors will be Friday, August 23, 2019 at 3:00pm at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
