Larry Ralph Queen, age 76, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.

Born August 30, 1948, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Ralph Waldo Queen and Eleanor Mary-Louise Arnold Queen. He was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Queen; brother, Donnie Cullen Queen; and sister, Pamela Jones.

Larry was a veteran of the United States Army and received a Purple Heart and 3 Bronze Stars for his service in Vietnam. He retired from Michelin after 27 years of service to the company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching western movies. He was also a fan of the Clemson Tigers and NASCAR. He attended New Heart Fellowship.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Stone Queen; son, Scott Timothy Queen (Cheri) of Anderson; stepdaughters, Katie Dean Walden (Joseph) of Anderson, Betsy Anderson (Kevin) of Anderson, and Jesse Bradley (Matthew) of Columbia; grandchildren, Brittany Loudermilk and Ashley Queen; and step-grandchildren, Olivia Anderson, Jeremiah Holcombe, Haley Roberts, Hannah Roberts, Nadine Bradley, Emma Walden, and Reid Walden.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 11:30 am until -12:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Richard Lister officiating. A private committal will be held at a later date at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
