SHAWJULY 12, 1940 - June 26, 2010ANDERSON, SC ' Larry James Shaw, age 69, of 106 Boxwood Lane, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2010, at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Winston-Salem, NC, on July 12, 1940, he was a son of Chloe Ellan Fletcher Shaw and the late Claud Lafayette Shaw. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Shaw was a Real Estate Proprietor and Developer. He was a member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church and attended Jesus Our Risen Saviour Catholic Church in Spartanburg.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Pansy Harris Shaw; and his uncle, Jim Fletcher. He was predeceased by his father; and a brother, David Shaw.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will follow at 2:00 pm at M.J. 'Dolly' Cooper Veterans Cemetery conducted by the Reverend Mike Harrell and Father Frank Palmieri.A Memorial Mass will be held at 6:30 pm on Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Jesus Our Risen Saviour Catholic Church, 2575 Reidville Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301, celebrated by Father Frank Palmieri and Father Ted Kalaw. A reception will immediately follow the Mass.In keeping and in honor of Mr. Shaw's love for animals, the family has asked that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301 or to the humane society of your choice.A message of condolence may be sent by visiting www.mcdougaldfuneralhome.comTHE McDOUGALD FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the arrangements.
