Lawrence Milford Swain, age 77, of Townville, SC, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born August 6, 1948, in Wadsworth, OH, he was the son of the late Milford Otto Swain and Joan Florence Lundquest Swain. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Dan Genet.

Larry was a veteran of the United States Army and spent a long career as a truck driver. Affectionately known as “Lovable Larry”, he was kind, caring, and had a heart of gold. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and all things outdoors. His family was his main priority, and he lived his life his way to the very end. Larry lived in South Carolina for 15 years and had his best years here with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his sisters, Brenda Genet, Christine Watkins (Rick), and Anitra Devol.
