Larry Gene Williams, age 75, of Greenville, SC, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, at his home.

Born June 19, 1948, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Carl S. Williams and Sara L. Murphy Williams.

Larry was a graduate of Palmetto High School Class of 1966 and was a Master Barber. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines for 6 years with the rank of Sergeant earning the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He also served in the Army National Guard for 15 years and retired with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a 40-year member of the American Legion Post 121 in Williamston, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the VFW, and a member of the Hejaz Shriners for 35 years. He was also a member of Whitefield Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Katherine Lee Williams; daughters, Angela Lee Branyon and Donna Lee Phillips (Rob); brother, Jimmy "Woody" Williams (Pat); grandchildren, Joey Glen Lee (Lori), Christina Katherine Fields (Casey), and Jacob Donald Prue Branyon (Somer); and great grandchildren, Ryan "Drake" Lee, Madison Glyn Lee, Indiana Homer Thomas Fields, Jacob Donald "Prue" Branyon, Jr., and Paisley Katherine Branyon.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 15, 2023, from 2:30-3:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:30 pm in the Chapel with Beverly T. Jacobs and Indiana Fields officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
