CROMERDECEMBER 8, 1921 - SeptEMBER 22, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Laura 'La-La' Hanks Cromer, age 85, of Morningside Assisted Living and formerly of 3403 Highway 413 passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Anderson County on December 8, 1921, she was a daughter of the late John F. Hanks & Janie Saylors Hanks. Mrs. Cromer retired from Blair Mills after nearly forty-five years of service and she was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church.Survivors include a daughter, Johnnie Wilson and husband, Richard Wilson of Anderson; two grandchildren: Andy O. Wilson and wife, Amy P. Wilson and Jana Pressley and husband, Stan Pressley all of Anderson; three great grandchildren: Stacy Pressley, Brooklyn Pressley, and Andrea Sloane Wilson; a nephew reared in the home, Donnie Ray Hanks and wife, Becky Hanks; a brother, Leonard Hanks and wife, Betty Hanks of Anderson and sister, Pearl Hawkins of Anderson.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cromer was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Wilburn Cromer and a brother, Frank Hanks.The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, September 24, 2007 at Long Branch Baptist Church with the Reverend Wayne Watson officiating.
